Whitening

Professional teeth whitening is faster, more effective, and longer lasting that treatments you find over the counter. As we age, our teeth darken over time. We can brighten your teeth by five to ten shades in a single session, but maintaining good oral hygiene and steering away from certain foods and beverages will help keep any future whitening services to a minimum. We may also prescribe some medication for you to use at home that helps the whitening process.

Zoom Whitening Procedure

The complete procedure takes less than an hour, but a regular teeth cleaning is recommended prior to the actual Zoom teeth whitening session. The procedure begins with a short preparation to cover the lips and gums, leaving the teeth exposed. The dentist or dental assistant then applies the Zoom hydrogen peroxide whitening gel, which works together with the Zoom light to penetrate the teeth and break up the stains and discoloration. The gel remains in place for 15 minutes while the light is activated. During this time, you can relax, watch TV or listen to music.

The gel is applied for three 15-minute sessions of light activation, for a total treatment time of 45 minutes. Individuals with a strong gag reflex or anxiety may have difficulty undergoing the entire procedure. Immediately afterwards, a sensitivity-reducing fluoride paste-gel is applied to the teeth.

Laser Teeth Whitening

With this process, there is no sensitivity, and the process is faster, and the results last longer.  This is the quickest way to earn a rewarding, confident smile.

Patients love how quickly they can brighten their smile with little to no discomfort.  We use the unique properties of the new Biolase Laser, the gel-to-tooth contact time is about half of as other in office whitening systems.  With less contact time, there in less sensitivity, and no need to be scared if you had a bad experience with zoom products!

When the laser shines on the teeth, Patients experience a warm sensation, but it is not painful or discomforting. The laser shines on the teeth for only short, 30-second intervals, compared to other light-based in-office whitening systems, including zoom, that shine a heat-producing lamp for several minutes at a time.

Our teeth naturally lose their white color as we age, from external influences such as smoking, coffee, tea, red wine, soy sauce, caramel color, chocolate, etc. The whitening procedure will have a lot of cosmetic and medical benefits on your teeth. The increased awareness for a healthy smile rapidly increases the user's hygiene. As a result, Patients generally have significant improvements in oral and systemic health from Whitening their teeth. Getting your teeth whitened makes you feel good, it's like wearing a great outfit or a wonderful accessory.
